Boo!
The ghosts and goblins are coming out. I'm not much of a social butterfly, so you won't read stories about me putting on a costume and partying the night away at a Halloween soiree. I wouldn't go as a ghost or goblin anyway. A brainy investigator. That'd be me.
Instead, I'm sitting at home. And at 4 in the afternoon, I've already watched two scary movies on the Family channel. It's odd, though. The Family channel is for kids. It shouldn't be showing "Misery" or "It," which haunted me for several years growing up. Every time I went to the bathroom, I'd scurry out as fast as I could, afraid I'd see that clown in the drain. I remember that trek down to the bathroom. Every time, I'd shutter. The clown with the pure white face and cherry red hair.
To this day, I've always said Steven King's "It" is the scariest movie of all time. But maybe it's time to face my fears. I can't be afraid of clowns in the drain forever.
The Family channel stays on.
