And now for some positive news

Everyone asks if Ben has visited me in D.C., yet. And my instant reply is always "no."

They can throw out the same question Tuesday, and I'll have a different answer for them. Ben gets here Friday night for Labor Day weekend. He has to leave at noon on Monday, but I'm ecstatic anyway. This means I'll be cleaning and probably even baking. And I have plenty of plans. Maybe a boat ride from Georgetown to Alexandria. We both have races coming up, so we'll be running. I have two gift certificates that I've been saving, so I can treat him to dinner for once. It's a rare occasion:)

There's more good news. My mom got the green light to take days off in September, which means she'll be visiting in three weeks. We're going to split her time on the East Coast between D.C. and NYC (she's never been).

I will be very antsy and not-so-patienty waiting during the next few days and weeks.
