3-2-1
This Friday marks three months out until the big day. As everyone had promised, the time has flown. I'm ready, in that I can't wait to marry Ben. But I'm going to need the entire time to finish planning.
It's hard to believe, but my time in Washington is coming to an end soon. My last day on the job approaches in less than two months. As I've written about plenty before, I'm excited to move back to Minnesota. But my heart strings will pull a little. I love what I'm doing out here, and the scenery isn't all that bad, either.
In one day, there's an anniversary that bears a black mark on my mental calendar. It's one of those anniversaries you don't celebrate -- the anniversary of my dad's passing. I don't dread this day -- that's too strong of a word -- but I don't look forward to it. It'll be twelve years tomorrow, and this is probably the first year I haven't gotten sick over it ahead of time. I hope tomorrow will go well. I have a busy day ahead at work, and I'm scheduled to take a writing and editing test early in the morning to be considered for a job.
***Bonus news***
--Ben and I will be in Minnesota this weekend to house hunt. I've turned into a maniac, looking at listings when I get home for the evening and getting advice from all sorts of people. I also fall asleep to HGTV at night. Cool? I think so, too.
